Charges: Mr Abd-Al-Rahman is suspected of 31 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed in Darfur, Sudan. Ali Muhammad Ali Abd-Al-Rahman was transferred to the ICC’s custody on 9 June 2020, after surrendering himself voluntarily in the Central African Republic. The initial appearance of Mr Abd-Al-Rahman before the ICC took place on 15 June 2020. في 9 يوليو 2021، الدائرة الثانية للمحاكمة التمهيدية تم التأكيد جميع تهم جرائم الحرب والجرائم ضد الإنسانية التي وجهها المدعي العام إلى علي محمد عبد الرحمن، وأحاله إلى المحاكمة.
انطلقت المحاكمة في هذه القضية أمام الدائرة الابتدائية الأولى في 5 أبريل 2022. وقد مثل 56 شاهدًا أمام المحكمة خلال عرض مرافعة الادعاء، وقد قامت النيابة العامة بـ انتهت من عرض أدلتها. في 5 يونيو 2023، أدلى الممثلون القانونيون المشتركون للضحايا ببيان افتتاحي. وفي الفترة من 5 إلى 7 يونيو ومن 16 إلى 17 أكتوبر 2023، سُمح لهم باستدعاء شاهد واحد والضحايا المشاركين لإبداء آرائهم أمام الدائرة. واستدعت هيئة الدفاع 18 شاهدًا للمثول أمام الدائرة و وقد انتهت من عرض أدلتها.
